Oh happy day - Milton Keynes gallery hosts new collection to boost your mood

Doug commissioned research into what makes us happy as part of his new collection of images which showcase the fun and affectionate adventures of love.

A poll of 2,000 Brits found everyday things like relationships, friends and family help boost the nation’s mood.

These include having a cuddle with a loved one, catching up with a friend you’ve not seen for ages or your child saying ‘I love you’.

Other feelgood factors include looking at a beautiful picture or piece of art, seeing a stunning landscape and finding some money in a coat pocket which you haven’t worn for a while - the research found.

Doug, who is touring all Whitewall Galleries in the country including the Milton Keynes one at intu, said: “With so much going on in the world which is anything but good at the moment, it’s important to try and get a mood boost from the people and things which are close to you."

The collection is being showcased throughout February and March at Milton Keynes with a chance to meet Doug between 11am and 1pm on Saturday (February 22). Visit here for more details.
