Buckinghamshire’s young talents Willow Jewel P. Baldock and Esmè Ronan join Royal YouTuber's new educational video

Two young performers from Buckinghamshire, Willow Jewel P. Baldock and Esmè Ronan, are set to make their screen debuts in The History of the Modern Royal Family — a new educational film created by Lydia Alty, a 20-year-old Royal Journalist and YouTuber whose documentaries on Britain’s monarchy have earned her more than 290,000 subscribers and over 100 million views worldwide.
Six-year-old Willow Jewel P. Baldock is already a familiar face in advertising. Represented by Kitsch Talent Agency and Lacara, she has featured in campaigns for Innocent Smoothies, Go Compare, and Diabetes UK. Willow’s love for performing is matched by her enthusiasm for royal history — she even met Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie during the Coronation celebrations in 2023. In Lydia Alty’s film, she narrates a section about the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, bringing energy and charm to her first major screen role.
Joining her from High Wycombe, Esmè Ronan is another of Buckinghamshire’s promising young actors. A newcomer to professional work, she has already appeared in local pantomime and stage productions, where her confident stage presence caught the attention of casting directors. In The History of the Modern Royal Family, Esmè lends her voice to parts describing King Charles III’s path to the throne and the continuity of the modern monarchy, showcasing her natural clarity and composure on camera.
The short film — which premieres Friday 7 November at 6 p.m. on Lydia Alty’s popular Royal Reporter Lydia YouTube channel — brings together 15 young narrators from across the UK to tell the story of the Royal Family in a way that is fun, factual, and accessible to children aged five to twelve. Lydia, known for her balanced and educational royal documentaries, said she wanted to let “children teach children” about history rather than relying on gossip-filled online content.

Willow and Esmè appear alongside a talented line-up including Sebastian Winfield, Alexia Davies, Darcy Tosun, Foxx McCully, and Charles Alonso, each exploring different aspects of royal life and duty.
For both Buckinghamshire youngsters, the project marks a significant first step on screen — and a proud moment for the county’s growing community of young performers, proving that even the smallest voices can make a big impact.
