The UK charity, PSPA, which has its head office in Milton Keynes, is hosting a free online masterclass on 25 March to help ophthalmic professionals understand Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and how it affects the eyes.

PSP is a rare neurological condition that significantly affects various ocular and oculomotor functions. Despite eye changes beginning early in PSP progression, 60% of people are still initially misdiagnosed, with an accurate diagnosis on average taking three years to achieve.

To aid early diagnosis and access to appropriate care, PSPA has developed a set of Eye Red Flags to help ophthalmic professionals spot the early ocular changes in PSP and recommend a neurology referral. To support the Eye Red Flag resource and increase understanding of PSP, PSPA is also hosting a free PSPA masterclass.
