Grand Gala concert in tune

A GRAND Gala Concert happening this Saturday evening will celebrate the refurbishment of the Willis organ console at St Mary & St Giles Church...but the main organ work still needs to be undertaken and proceeds from this show will be headed straight to the pot for that.

The Parish Singers will join with Quorum for Allegri’s Miserere mei, A Karl Jenkins Suite will be performed by Adante, while James Westlake (left) will play Annie’s Song, the John Denver classic...

There are plenty more pieces set to feature in the show, including music by Spanish composer Tomas Luis de Victoria, dating back more than 400 years, and choral music from The Orphean Singers.
