Christmas dramas by Chapterhouse

CHAPTERHOUSE Theatre Company has come inside to perform two Christmas classics at The Grove and one show at Stantonbury this Christmas.

The group, which usually delights audiences with open air theatre during the summer months, is bringing adaptations of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and Elizabeth Gaskell’s Cranford to the venues over the next few weeks.

The dramas are adapted for the stage by award-winning young writer Laura Turner, whose recent work includes the BBC’s E20 and Hull Truck Theatre PlayWrite Programme.

Cranford at Christmas is an exciting new stage play inspired by Elizabeth Gaskell’s Cranford stories that combines the excitement of the festive season with the tranquillity of deep winter in the English countryside.
