Jane Thomas, BT Group regional lead for the East of England, said: “It’s fantastic that Milton Keynes and Aylesbury have become the first places in Buckinghamshire to receive 5G on EE’s network, bringing faster speeds and more reliable connections for people in the area.
“With more people set to stay closer to home for short breaks and holidays this year, the fact people will have faster and more reliable connectivity is a real positive. Many people will also
use a navigation app to find their way around a new place or use a browser on their phone to look up tourist information, so the arrival of 5G here is a timely boost.”
In total, 160 UK towns and cities have access to EE's 5G network.
The mobile provider is targeting one million active 5G customers by the end of this month.
