Awards set to be real tweet!

The category for most innovative use of digital media in communications is sure to be fascinating as the world of Twitter and Facebook become increasingly important.

CMC Communications, of Wharfside Business Park, Fenny Stratford, is sponsoring the category.

John Groves, who is managing director of CMC Communications, said: “We are happy to be sponsoring most innovative use of digital media in communications.

CMC’s line of business is in providing telecommunications for companies.

They provide services ranging from a single fixed line or mobile handset to integrated telecommunications packages.

Mr Groves added: “CMC are entering the awards due to its great success over the last year in expanding its services and energising its sales approach. We have achieved a significant growth in a recession.

“We believe that the awards are a good way for us to see how we are doing compared to other local companies and to reward the hard work of our staff should we be successful.

The digital innovation award will go to the company demonstrating the most innovative approach to the use of digital and social media that delivered positive results in enhancing the bottom line, maximising customer attention and attraction, reducing cost, increasing market share and gaining leadership position through an innovative use of the digital and/or social media.

Entrants will be asked how they analysed and engaged with their target audience and what made them decide to alter or enhance the use of the digital and/or social media.

They will also be asked to provide details of how innovations improved business and/or generated success and describe principles for future success.

The announcement of the winners will take place at the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 20.

It will be held at Doubletree by Hilton, at StadiumMK
