Badger set for businesswomen’s lunchtime event

BEDFORDSHIRE businesswomen will be celebrating International Women’s Day a month early with a celebrity guest.

TV’s Ruth Badger from The Apprentice will be guest speaker at Bedfordshire Businesswomen’s Club’s lunchtime shindig at Bedford College’s Shuttleworth campus, in Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade, on Thursday, February 16.

The group has hundreds of members across the county.

Kerry Cash chairs the group and said: “I want this to be the best year ever for the group and for its members - there is so much more we can do to help ourselves and others.”

Bedford College’s director of sales and marketing, Sarah Baxter, said: “I went along to a lunch and was really impressed by the calibre of women and the businesses they own or represent. At Bedford College one of our keys aims is supporting entrepreneurs and employers - so I decided Kerry and I should work together on a number of projects during her year as president.”

International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide in March.
