Chamber Business Awards: Backer aims to give awards Lynx effect

AN IT infrastructure provider is set on giving the city’s premier business awards the Lynx effect.

Lynx Networks, which employs 40 people in Clarke Road, Mount Farm, is sponsoring the search to find the Business of the Year in the £5million and more turnover category.

The Business Excellence Awards are run by Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce. The Citizen is the media sponsor in the search for business stars.

Lynx Networks managing director Alan Bullen has seen every year how the Chamber awards showcase the excellence of local businesses, large and small; how they celebrate the significant part Milton Keynes plays in world trade and commerce but also uncover hidden gems in our local business community.

Mr Bullen said: “We’re living through challenging times together but it’s the success of these enterprises that will pull us out of it. It’s great to see a focus on the growth and ambitions of Milton Keynes businesses, providing work for our youngsters leaving school or returning from university.

“At last year’s superb Chamber Awards there was a great buzz of enthusiasm from the many successful companies filling the hall, bringing confidence to invest in the future.”

He added: “Having been engrained in the business community for over 20 years, Lynx Networks is proud to support this year’s Chamber Awards.
