McDonald's announced last week that it was to re-open all its drive-thru restaurants by June 4.

The re-openings are being done as part of a phased process which started today. The restaurants that are re-opening are only announced on the morning to avoid customers queueing ahead of time and causing traffic chaos.

Hours will be reduced to between 11am and 10pm and the breakfast menu will be limited, with no breakfast wraps of shakes served.

A raft of re-openings were announced this morning, the nearest to MK being Leighton Buzzard.

But none of the six drive-thru restaurants in Milton Keynes have re-opened today which means they will either re-open tomorrow (Wednesday June 3) or Thursday June 4.
