No McDonald's restaurants in Milton Keynes will be reopening today

Today's batch of McDonald's to be reopened does not include any of the six restaurants in MK.

But that means all six restaurants will definitely open tomorrow for a drive-thru service (Thursday).

McDonald's announced last week that it was to re-open all its drive-thru restaurants by June 4 in a phased process, and each morning the company has released of list of premises to open that day.

The tactic was designed to avoid customers queuing ahead of time and causing traffic chaos.

But there has still been problems in other areas of the country, where traffic jams and queues of people eager to taste their first McDonald's for weeks causing chaos on surrounding roads.

Hours of the local re-opened restaurant will be reduced to between 11am and 10pm and the breakfast menu will be limited, with no breakfast wraps of shakes served.

Numbers of staff in the kitchens and serving areas will be limited to allow for social distancing, say McDonald's bosses.
