TV personality buys auctioneers in village near Milton Keynes

TV personality Charles Hanson, who is a familiar face on Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip, has bought Charles Ross Auctioneers in Woburn High Street.

Hansons Auctioneers, Mr Hanson's company, has also bought Holloway’s, in Banbury, which relaunches with its first sale since lockdown this weekend (Saturday, September 12).

Mr Hanson said: “I’m passionate about antiques and collectables.

"Antiques and collectables are as popular today as they have ever been. Despite lockdown, Hansons has achieved record breaking results in 2020 and we look forward to delivering strong hammer prices for the people of Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties.

“We’re looking forward to a great first auction and to serving the people of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire for many years to come. This is a wonderful opportunity.”
