Saxon Reach, a new development by L&Q in Milton Keynes, has won the Certificate of Excellence award from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) and was also given a 95% score in the Construction Quality Review, carried out by the National House Building Council (NHBC).

Ryan Burgess, construction manager at Saxon Reach, said: “Driven by a social purpose, we work hard to offer our support to the community, delivering initiatives and reaching out to local groups. We are pleased to be recognised for this, and our high quality of build at Saxon Reach."

The CCS review assesses the application of the code of considerate practise, which looks for sites to focus on appearance, environment, safety and workforce value.

The site was described in the CCS report as an 'exceptional project demonstrating that with commitment and drive the company and schemes values can provide and promote the best for all.'

Saxon Reach received a number of ‘outstanding’ reviews from the NHBC, which is an independent look at the quality of construction.

The site’s partnership with the Milton Keynes YMCA has also seen L&Q award the local group £5,000 for a physical activity programme through Sport England, as well as a £10,000 grant through the L&Q Counties Place Makers Scheme.

Saxon Reach will ultimately deliver 225 high quality homes in the form of one to five bedroom homes on the outskirts of Milton Keynes in the Glebe Farm development area.
