In driving seat of new city of growth

A NEW sponsor has stepped forward to help recognise the leading companies in Milton Keynes and North Bucks.

Captive finance company Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) is actually a big player itself, employing 500 people from its HQ in Yeomans Drive, Blakelands.

Some 450 of those people work at the offices, with 50 people working in the field.

Graham Wheeler, joint-managing director of VWFS, said: “The company takes its place within Milton Keynes very seriously and despite being only 35 minutes from London, Milton Keynes isn’t a dormitory town.

“It has a thriving business environment ably support by the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce. That’s why VWFS would like to help recognise the leading businesses in the new city of Milton Keynes.”

VWFS is sponsoring the overall winner award at this years Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence awards.

VWFS is the captive finance company working only on the Volkswagen Group brands in the UK.

These well known brands include Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, SEAT, Škoda, Audi, Bentley and Porsche.

VWFS’s field of business is automotive finance for the customers of its brands. It’s aim is to make it as easy as possible for customers to buy, maintain and renew their vehicles. Volkswagen Insurance Services is a part of VWFS.

Mr Wheeler added: “Working nationally across so many brands means that VWFS needs dedicated and ambitious employees and support companies to provide the best possible service to its customers – both the end user and the key car brands.”

And being based in Milton Keynes has been a definite bonus for VWFS.
