She said: “We always strive to put our patients first and foremost; their comfort is of absolute importance.

“We pride ourselves with a personalised approach, with lots of time being taken to ensure that our clients are happy and feel safe with all the treatments being provided.”

Dr Teresa has been praised for the flexibility and availability of the team at the clinic, especially during this year's challenge of dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

The practice utilised online video consultations early on in the lockdown so patients who had the most urgent requirements could be seen to.

Appledore said its patients have enthusiastically taken advantage of these free video consultations as a first stage in discussing their dental issues, or to pose questions about treatment they require or would like, and that it is 'one of the positives to come out of the Covid-19 crisis'.

Robert Newcombe, a patient with Appledore, said: “As soon as the lockdown started, toothache started. I sent an email to Appledore and within half an hour Dr Teresa rang me for a telephone consultation. She looked at my last X-ray, diagnosed the problem and prescribed some antibiotics.

"As I’m over 70 and self-isolating, she arranged for the prescription to be delivered to my house 10 miles from Milton Keynes. I call that outstanding service and care.”
