"Tesco along with the other supermarkets are here for everyone at this difficult time, and we will continue to be here to ensure everyone can get what they need while we get through this.
I have an ask of you all however, and hope that as a community we can support this.
"Please visit as little as possible. Please come alone and don’t bring your family.

"Doing the right thing by my colleagues and all of you is constantly at the forefront of my mind, and I would therefore ask that you respect the limit we will now be putting in place on the number of people in the store at times where this is required.
"We will also be asking that you support us with the queuing systems we have put in place inside and outside of the shop. We are still learning everyday, and I want to say a heartfelt thank you for the support you have shown us while we continue to make changes to ensure everyone shops and works safely. #togetherwecandothis. Stephen."
