We’re a big part of your business

THE Citizen is again media sponsor for the Milton Keynes & North Bucks Business Excellence Awards, writes business editor, David Tooley.

The Citizen has been linking the new city’s businesses with their consumers for 30 years – and is looking forward to telling the world about the fantastic things happening here.

As part of its media sponsorship The Citizen profiles awards category winners in the Business Citizen. Other sponsors also get a chance to increase their profile.

Now the Citizen has launched a great new service to help put customers in touch with good restaurants, shops or services.

It’s called Find It and it can be found under the community header on the homepage of our website www.miltonkeynes.co.uk

But it does more than give a list of what’s on offer. It is also a review website with thousands of comments recommending locations, places, products and services.

It’s powered by Qype – Europe’s largest user generated local review website. It also gives consumers the chance to post comments if they have had a bad experience.

All local businesses can claim a free advertising listing on Find it, with the option of taking a premium listing for greater visibility.

Paul Gibson, managing director of Premier Newspapers, the publishers of the Citizen, said: “We are very excited about the launch of Find it which gives local businesses a highly effective new advertising medium as well as giving consumers a fantastic new guide for finding the best local service.

“We not only want to help connect local businesses with consumers, but also help consumers make informed choices through the recommendations and reviews from other people in the area.”

> For more details on Find it and becoming a business member email Premier Newspapers commercial director Sam Pirani ([email protected]) and he’ll pass on your details to the relevant advertising team.
