Milton Keynes house builders kit out youth football team in town where they’re building 700 new homes

Developers building 700 new homes on the edge of Newport Pagnell have bought new football kits for the town’s Under 8’s football team.

Bloor Homes is building houses at Newport Vale, the large new community just a few minutes’ walk away from the grounds of Newport Pagnell Football Club.

Now the clubs Under 8s players are taking to the pitch in brand new kit after Bloo provided a £500 donation – its second youth team sponsorship at the Club this season.

The developer recently announced sponsorship of the Under 9s side, bringing its combined sponsorship to £1,000.

Carl Slater, Managing Director of Bloor Homes, said: “For us, building new homes is only ever part of the story. Creating a thriving community means recognising what already makes a place special and investing in the things that matter to the people who live there.

“Grassroots football clubs like Newport Pagnell Town FC are at the heart of local life. We're proud to have supported two youth teams this season and hope our Under 8s enjoy pulling on their brand new kit.”

James Costello, Under 8s Coach at Newport Pagnell Town FC, said: " Like all grassroots clubs we rely on the support of businesses like Bloor Homes and we’re really grateful for their ongoing support. Pulling on a brand new kit is a really special moment for a young team. It gives them a huge sense of pride and identity out on the pitch. Thank you to everyone at Bloor Homes.

He added: “With Newport Vale set to welcome hundreds of new families to the area in the years ahead, Newport Pagnell Town FC is well-placed to help them put down new roots from the moment they arrive.”

The club welcomes new players of all ages and abilities, with youth teams beginning at age 5 for both girls and boys, all the way through to the men's and women's First team sides. Visit nptfc.co.uk to find out more.
