Famous Milton Keynes sporting venue receives national recognition for education activities

Snozone is nominated for “Best Sporting Venue” at the School Travel Awards for a fourth year in a row.
Previously the Milton Keynes skiing and snowboarding complex won the top prize in 2018, this year's winners will be announced on May 20.

Hide AdOther winners have included: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Manchester City Stadium & Museum tours, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum & tours, Twickenham Stadium, The National Football Museum and Wembley Stadium.
These awards recognise sporting venues throughout the UK that excel in providing essential learning outside the classroom through activities for school children and students.
Snozone, has been recognised due to its work with schools prior to the pandemic in January and February 2020 when pupils could no longer hit the slopes abroad.
A spokesperson for Snozone said: “We are so proud that these awards provide consistent recognition to our commitment to not only promote Alpine sports, but also in how we proactively research and support the school curriculum by tailoring teacher’s needs for their students to experiences at our venues.”

Hide AdIn addition to the skiing and snowboarding activities, Snozone also provides accredited assessment for the Snowsports components of GCSE and A Level PE & Sport and also delivers Business Studies talks to students about how Snozone operates as a commercial operation.
Snozone is also the only European indoor snow sports operator who have their own Disability Snow School. Snozone’s School Holiday Camps support ‘good citizenship’ out of school term time by offering sign language lessons and a first aid course for children – Mini Medics.
