Fifty students self-isolating at Milton Keynes school

A school in Milton Keynes has reported one positive case of Covid-19 which has led to 50 students being forced to self-isolate

According to Milton Keynes Council, one member of staff from Wyvern School, in Wolverton, recently tested positive for coronavirus, and a total of 50 students are currently self-isolating.

The students are expected to return at some point this week, according to the council.

A school spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a single member of staff has tested positive for Covid-19. We are following all government guidance including ensuring that some staff and pupils self-isolate at home."

The school said it is working with Public Health England to monitor the situation.
