Little cuties from Milton Keynes wow ballroom dancing judges

The Year 1 and 2 pupils left the judges in a spin with their two routines, a waltz and a polka, at the Dancing Schools UK competition, which took place at the Ridgeway Centre on Saturday.
The children will now go through to the Grand Final on July 4 when they will compete against schools from across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.

Hide AdClare Bywater, the music lead for Shepherdswell Academy, said: “Our dancers worked so hard and practiced every week for the competition, so to come home with first prize is a wonderful achievement for them.
“We all had a fantastic day at the competition, with lots of parents coming to show their support, and we’re all really looking forward to the Grand Final in July.”
Year 1 pupil Jayden Oware said: “We did a lot of practicing every Tuesday for the competition. Our parents came to watch us but I wasn’t nervous, it was really fun.”
Kiah Disson, who is in Year 2, said: “When we lined up on stage and the judges said we had won first place, I was really happy. I want to win the Grand Final now!"
