A total of 4,718 applications were made for children starting primary school or transferring to junior school in 2020.

Hide AdThis year, 99 per cent of children in Mk have been offered one of their preferences and only nine percent have not been granted their first choice.
Milton Keynes Council says it has has a well-established school place planning service which means that all children in Milton Keynes have been offered a local place.
The council has worked with schools in growth areas to make sure spaces keep up with demand, and likewise with schools in established areas where fewer places were required.
Councillor Zoe Nolan, Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said: “Despite the challenges of school closures and lockdown, we have continued to work closely with schools and other local authorities. We have ensured that all children in Milton Keynes can access a local school place. We are delighted that the vast majority of our children have landed a preferred choice.”
