The Charles Warren Academy, in Simpson, sent out a letter to parents yesterday (Monday, November 23) saying a Year 2 and Year 6 pupil have coronavirus.

This has reportedly led to the closure of both of the students' year group bubbles, and those who came into close contact with the infected pupils have been forced to self-isolate.

The letter, signed by Principal Joanne Goldsmith, reads: "I want to stress again that the safety of our children, families, and staff, will always be our number one priority."

The school has been contacted for comment.

Covid infections in MK show no sign of decreasing with 164 new cases and two new hospital deaths recorded over Saturday and Sunday.
