Steve Bird and his workers at Red Window Cleaning are offering the service completely free of charge until their stocks of disinfecting chemicals run out.

They are getting up at the crack of dawn each day to visit retirement homes and care homes for vulnerable adults with their specialist cleaning kit.

"Our sanitising units kill 99.9 per cent of all bacteria and will help with the spread of Covid-19. We are doing our best to help the vulnerable and if we can help in anyway we will as long our resources allow us," said Steve.

"We service lots of retirement villages, homes for vulnerable adults and have been sanitising all the main entrances and walkways on the exterior when we clean them.

"We've also been going to the external of people’s homes that have requested it on our Facebook post. We have been cleaning doors, handles, gate latches, railings, wheelie bins, mobility scooters and pathways."

He is asking people to contact him if they know of any vulnerable or elderly people who would benefit from the service.
