Coronavirus update: new case numbers continue to drop significantly in Milton Keynes

On Sunday (February 28) the lowest number of new cases of Covid were reported in Milton Keynes since last Autumn.

Today's (March 1) figures are even lower with just 20 new cases confirmed . One new death related to the virus was confirmed in the past 24 hours.

Sadly, ending a streak of two-days where no Milton Keynes residents died from Covid.

In total, 19,125 people in Milton Keynes have tested positive since the start of the pandemic. Currently the infection rate for Milton Keynes is 120.2 cases per 100,000 people, which is above the national average of 100.4 cases per 100,000.

Nationally, 5,455 new cases were confirmed and 104 new deaths were recorded.
