Covid-19 update Friday August 21st 2020: Seven new coronavirus cases in Milton Keynes in the last 24 hours

Cases up seven on yesterday's figures bringing the total number of positive tests in MK to 939 since the start of the pandemic.

Nationally, there were another 1,033 positive tests.

There were two deaths nationally bringing the total to 41,405.

Milton Keynes Council leader Pete Marland told the MK Citizen this week that it was 'highly likely' fresh lockdown restrictions would be imposed in MK if Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

But there is a marked contrast in rates in MK and neighbouring Northampton.
