After a major breakthrough yesterday (February 11) with Milton Keynes' infection rate dropping below the national average for the first time since December.

Milton Keynes seven day case rate continues to fall, but hasn't kept speed with the decline in cases nationally.

The current infection rate per 100,000 cases in Milton Keynes is 181.1, whilst the UK's overall rate is 177.5 cases per 100,000.

The latest data updated on February 12 showed 68 new confirmed cases in Milton Keynes. Two new coronavirus-related deaths were also confirmed.

Yesterday only 50 new cases were confirmed in the city.

The death toll for the city now stands at 421 people who have died since the start of the pandemic within 28 days of receiving a positive test.

Nationally, 15,144 new cases were confirmed and 758 deaths were recorded.
