February 4 Update: This is how many people have received Covid vaccines in the Milton Keynes NHS area

The latest data showing the number of people who've received Covid vaccinations in Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Luton has been released.

Now 85% of people aged over 80 in Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedfordshire have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

In total 33,779 over 80s have been jabbed in the region.

For the first time NHS England has data for the 70-74 and 75-79 age groups. So far 82.7% of those aged 75-79 have been given the vaccine and 38.6% of 70-74-year-olds have received their first doses.

The total number for those age groups are 22,422 people aged 75-79 have been jabbed and 15,338 in the 70-74 group.

The latest figures show that 44,434 people aged under 70 in the area have received their first jabs.

Second doses have been given to 4,138 residents over 80, 43 to those aged between 75-79 and 31 to those in the 70-74 category. The latest statistics show 648 under 70s have received second doses.

The cumulative amount of vaccines given in Beds, Luton and MK today stands at 120,833.
