Today's figure of confirmed cases stands at 186 in MK, according to Public Health England. This compares to yesterday's figure of 181.

Thoughout the UK another 854 people have died after contracting the virus. This takes the UK death toll to more than 6,200.

The latest victims were aged between 23 and 102 – with the 23-year-old having no underlying health conditions

There were only five new confirmed cases today

Today’s jump in deaths is the biggest daily increase since the outbreak began, following a rise of 439 deaths yesterday and 621 on Sunday.

The death toll in Milton Keynes still stands at 22, as it was on Saturday, but an updated figure is not expected for another few days.

However, hundreds if not thousands of people in MK firmly believe they have had coronavirus and recovered fully. Because they did got go to hospital and get an official test, they are not part of the daily statistics.
