Just one new case of coronavirus in Milton Keynes today

The infection rate in Milton Keynes continues to decline with just one new Covid-19 case and one death at the hospital confirmed over the past 24.

Nationally the number of deaths rose again to 693, compared to the previous day's total of 288.

In MK the total number of hospital Covid-19 deaths now stands at 96, while the number of people who've had positive tests is 479.

This is lower than Luton, which has had 628 cases, but slighter higher than Bedford, which has 471.

Throughout the UK, there has now been 194,99 lab-confirmed cases, with 4,406 of them confirmed over the past 24 hours.

The UK death toll is now 29,427, which is the highest in Europe.
