Milton Keynes Coronavirus Friday update: Weekly totals for cases and deaths continue to fall

The daily coronavirus case figures have been released for Milton Keynes and the rest of the UK.

The figures for Friday January 22, report seven deaths and 245 new cases.

The total number of new cases have been reported in the UK is 40,261. Over the last seven days, 267,892 have tested positive for Coronavirus.

The rate of people with at least one positive COVID-19 test result (either lab-reported or lateral flow device) per 100,000 population in the rolling 7-day period in Milton Keynes is 580.4 per 100,000.

Coronavirus figures for Milton Keynes on Friday January 22, are seven deaths and 245 new cases.

The latest data, accurate up until January 17, shows that 47,551 people have received their first doses of the coronavirus vaccine, in Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Luton.

The UK estimated R number is 0.8 to 1 with a daily infection growth rate range of -4% to -1% as of 22 January 2021.
