Milton Keynes Coronavirus update: Data shows a further fall in weekly cases

The number of new coronavirus cases in Milton Keynes and the rest of the UK from Sunday, have been released.

The figures for Sunday January 24, report two deaths and 200 new cases.

In total, there were 368 new cases reported over the weekend. The overall number of new cases reported for the past seven days was 1,337.

The total number of new cases that have been reported in the UK is 30,004. Over the last seven days, 251,504 have tested positive for Coronavirus.

The rate of people with at least one positive COVID-19 test result (either lab-reported or lateral flow device) per 100,000 population in the rolling 7-day period in Milton Keynes is 529.6 per 100,000.

The UK estimated R number is 0.8 to 1 with a daily infection growth rate range of -4% to -1% as of 22 January 2021.
