Milton Keynes Coronavirus update: fall in new case figures and recorded deaths

Milton Keynes' Coronavirus infection rate remains slightly above the national average, but daily new case numbers has fallen for the first time in three days.

Over the past 24 hours 40 new Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Milton Keynes. The latest data from the UK Government also reported two new deaths related to the virus.

Both figures are down from yesterday (February 18), when MK's infection rate went back above the national average.

At 131.7 cases per 100,000 people, Milton Keynes, remains slightly above the overall average for the entire nation, which is 128.1 per 100,000.

Today's (February 19) figures show 12,027 new cases of Covid have been discovered in the UK and 533 new deaths have been recorded.
