Milton Keynes is 'like a ghost town' today, say police.

Police have thanked the people of Milton Keynes for staying at home so far during the Easter period.

And they have published photos of the city centre today, with not a car or a person to be seen.

A police spokesman said: "Thank you to the Public for observing the social distancing measures and heeding government advice."

He added: "It is like being on patrol in a ghost town. Midsummer Boulevard was empty on a Saturday lunch time. Sights like this won't be seen again when life returns to normal."

Police officers will be patrolling over the Easter weekend and carrying out road checks to stop drivers and ask where they are going.
