Milton Keynes' popular Punk Punters nightclub closes due to coronavirus
Pink Punters is shutting its Fenny Stratford club with immediate effect.
In a statement issued today, the owners said: " Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, it has become necessary to temporarily close down the club with immediate effect in the interests of public health.
"It is important that we all follow strict government guidelines throughout this period. We would advise all our customers, their families and friends to tune in to Boris Johnson’s daily briefing at 5 pm.
"This is not a time for panic, but a time for togetherness (that is working together while maintaining social distancing) Understandably there is some anxiety, but we must take reassurance that the UK has amongst the best scientists in the world advising Boris, and we must put our complete trust in them.
"Tough as it may be for a while, we WILL work through this, and we will, as a result, have a bigger, better and more colourful Pink Punters with the biggest of parties you’ve ever known.
"It might not seem like it now, but worldwide measures are already working, so let us all work hard on fighting the virus now, so we can all look forward to a great future."
