Milton Keynes reaches lowest number of new Coronavirus cases in 2021, but more deaths confirmed

The latest figures from the UK government show Milton Keynes is seeing a further decline in new Coronavirus cases.

Milton Keynes recorded only 16 new daily Coronavirus cases yesterday (March 3).

Three new virus-related deaths were reported in the city.

After major drop in daily cases from the 43 recorded on Monday down to 16, the new infection rate for the area is 109.9 cases per 100,000 people.

This infection rate is still higher than the national average of 89.2 cases per 100,000.

Nationally there were 6.385 new Covid cases and 315 new deaths recorded.
