A Milton Keynes school has had to send a whole year group home to self-isolate due to a positive case of Covid-19.

St Mary and St Giles Junior School, in Stony Stratford, sent out a letter to parents on Sunday (October 18) saying its Year 6 bubble has been sent home in line with Public Health England's coronavirus guidance.

The letter, signed by Kate Holland, said the students' self-isolation started with immediate effect on Friday (October 16) and that the school has taken 'every precaution' to minimise the risk to other pupils.

The school said the affected areas will undergo a deep-clean and that all other year groups should continue to attend as normal.
