Milton Keynes school hit by Covid-19 infections during second lockdown

A Milton Keynes school has reported two positive cases of Covid-19 this week

Shenley Brook End School sent a letter out to parents on Monday (November 9) about a positive case of coronavirus, and then another one today (Wednesday, November 11) about a new positive infection.

A school spokesperson said that a small group of students have been asked to self-isolate at home.

The spokesperson said: "Relevant classrooms have been locked and will be deep cleaned. We have been advised by Public Health England that the cases are not connected.

"We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with the Health Protection Team, which is satisfied that the correct actions have been taken and that the school should remain open."

The second lockdown, which started on Thursday (November 5) and is set to end on December 2, allows schools to remain open while non-essential shops and businesses must stay closed.
