MP urges more people to use drive-through coronavirus test centre in Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes MP Ben Everrit has announced there is "spare capacity" at the new Milton Keynes drive through testing centre.

He is urging as many people as possible to apply for a Covid-19 test.

Anybody aged over 65 can apply if they are experiencing coronavirus symptoms.

Other people eligible include all those working on the frontline in health and social care, with or without symptoms and all other essential workers with symptoms.

People who live with essential workers with symptoms are also eligible.

Covid-19 tests can be booked online here.

Mr Everrit, who is MP for Milton Keynes North, said this morning: "Apply for a coronavirus test. There is spare capacity at the drive through testing centre in Milton Keynes."

The drive through centre opened in a car park on Grafton Gate at CMK 10 days ago.

After a quiet start, it has been busy every day, with lengthy queues on nearby roads at peak times.
