No Coronavirus-linked deaths and low case numbers announced in Milton Keynes today

The number of new Covid cases remains low and no new deaths were reported in the area, today (March 17).

There were 17 new cases of the Coronavirus confirmed in Milton Keynes over the past 24 hours, meaning 19,560 people in MK have caught Covid in total.

With just two deaths linked to the virus confirmed in the city in the past seven days, the death toll for the city stands at 460.

Following a run of days with low case numbers the infection rate in Milton Keynes has dropped to 74.6 cases per 100,000 people.

Nationally, the infection rate is lower at 59.5 cases per 100,000.

In the UK 5,758 new Coronavirus cases were confirmed today, 141 deaths were recorded.
