Sixteen people at Milton Keynes school test positive for Covid-19 - with 11 teachers forced to self-isolate

Stantonbury International School confirmed today (Tuesday, September 22) that it has, in total, had to send home 11 teachers, seven students, three support staff and also three bubbles to self-isolate for 14 days.

Hide AdA school spokesperson said: "Seven students, six teachers and three support staff have tested positive for Covid-19.
"Five other teachers are also shielding due to a family member presenting symptoms of Covid - i.e. not related to the school."
The spokesperson said Years 10 and 12 - which were sent home on September 12 - will return once the school has a 'suitable number of teaching staff'.

Hide AdYear 11 will be welcomed back on Friday (September 25) after being sent home on Monday (September 21) due to a lack of teachers.
The school added that it is still open for Year 13 students.
This news comes after hundreds of students were sent home earlier this month after coming into contact with an infected person.
