The Lord Grey Academy, in Bletchley, informed parents via a Facebook post on Thursday (October 15) that it has had to send a number of students home to self-isolate for 14 days after they came into close contact with the infected person.

The Facebook post reads: "Dear parents, carers and guardians, I am writing to inform you that we have had a positive coronavirus case for a student in Year 12. The student who has tested positive is at home isolating, and I am pleased to say does not have serious symptoms.

"I hope that we have been able to catch this case at an early stage, but I would urge parents to be vigilant with regard to the symptoms of coronavirus, and if your child displays any, take them for a test and let the school know."
