But no new Covid-19 deaths have been registered at MK hospital and the city's death toll still stands at 102.

The number of confirmed cases in MK is now 510 since the start of the pandemic.

MK seems to be faring better than neighbouring towns such as Bedford where, despite a substantially smaller population, there have been 163 hospital deaths and 639 lab-tested cases.

Luton, only slightly smaller than MK, has seen 245 deaths at the L&D hospital and 740 confirmed cases.

National figures show 377 deaths today throughout the UK, making a total of 37,837.

The UK's daily number of lab-confirmed cases was down slightly to 1,887, making a total of 269,127 positive tests since the beginning of the pandemic,
