The member of staff from Long Meadow School, in Shenley Brook End, was confirmed to have tested positive at the end of last week and is now self-isolating, according to the school.

A Milton Keynes Council spokesperson said the person's role is non-teaching and they have had no recent contact with pupils.

The school and the council said it continues to follow 'all tried and tested public health precautions and processes'.

Headteacher Philip Gray reiterated that the school will continue to provide parents and carers information 'clearly and transparently so they can be reassured we are doing the best thing for the pupils'.
