Two more patients die from coronavirus at Milton Keynes hospital

There has now been 97 deaths at Milton Keynes hospital and 499 confirmed cases in the city since the pandemic began.

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) published its weekly statistics for care home deaths today. This showed six deaths attributed in care homes in MK between Saturday May 3 and Friday May 8 inclusive.

Last week's comparative figure was 12.

Yesterday, for the first time, there were no new lab-confirmed cases in MK.

Today's death toll for the whole of the UK is 627, bringing the total number of Covid-19 associated UK deaths to 32,692.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 226,463. This includes 3,403 new cases over the past 24 hours.
