Free relaxation class to help Milton Keynes people get more sleep

We've all been there - struggling to get the full eight hours' sleep. Whether it's too much on our minds, a snoring partner or the menopause - a lack of sleep is a waking nightmare for many.

Step in Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio in Stony Stratford as it is hosting a free Deep Relaxation Class in aid of World Sleep Day on Friday, March 13.

The one hour class between 5-6pm is designed for complete beginners to experience the deeply relaxing and restorative effect of Yoga Nidra – a relaxation technique which relieves stress and quietens the mind to help find perfect rest.

Deborah Berryman, yoga teacher and founder of Whitespace Studio, said: “Falling asleep and staying asleep is a struggle for so many people but it’s proven that using relaxation techniques helps switch off the noise and promotes healthy, restful and better quality sleep.”

She added: “Deep Relaxation is the perfect way to ‘heal’ from periods of bad sleep or prevent it altogether. If you have trouble ‘switching off’, feel stressed or anxious, this class will be extremely beneficial in helping to maintain a healthy sleeping pattern by giving your body and mind time to slow down and switch-off.”

Although, the class is free, the studio is asking for donations (suggested donation of £5) in aid of the British Sleep Society which can be paid in cash on the day.
