Bletchley Park wants to give you a ‘lawnsome’ time

Bletchley Park is opening its gates to a spanking new event this weekend – Summer on the Lawn.

A vintage village and food hall will entertain in the surrounds of the famous Mansion and its pretty lake.

Taking things back in time, 1940s enactors will fill the area, and music from the period will be played live.

If the sun shines, how about indulging in a little cream tea on the lawn?

Inside the Mansion, the aforementioned food hall will offer local produce for sale and a vintage fashion show will take you from the 1920s to the swinging sixties...what a revolution in clothing!

Long before everyone became soaked in expensive computer games and today’s ‘must-haves’, having fun was a far simpler affair –and a coconut shy, roll-a-penny and kissing booth are coming out of retirement for this show, open 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
