All-electric dealership: All you need to know about electric cars

Milton Keynes welcomes a new all-electric car dealership – call in to find out what the future of driving looks like

If you’ve never heard of BYD you won’t be alone – standing for Build Your Dreams, this is China’s biggest electric vehicle manufacturer and they’ve just entered the market in the UK.

They’re bringing with them some impressive customers though – it was BYD that supplied London with 500 electric buses – and they’ve topped the market in their home country for nine years now.

According to the latest data in increasing number of us Brits are turning to more sustainable solutions in everyday life. And it’s not just the small changes we’re making, as figures released by Zap Map show that last month almost 50,000 new car registrations were battery-electric vehicles – the most ever in the UK.

There’s a buzz in town for driving electric

“This is really encouraging,” says Rob Miller, head of BYD Operations at Stratstone, which officially launched its brand new, all-electric showroom in Milton Keynes on Earth Day, Saturday April 22.

“As we move closer to the government’s 2030 EV plan and British drivers’ appetite for greener vehicles increases, we’re delighted to be officially opening our doors to the people of Milton Keynes, so they can get a taste for themselves what an electric driving future looks and feels like.”

During its launch event Stratstone BYD Milton Keynes will run test drives on its ATTO 3 model, and offering earth-themed child-friendly activities and giving all guests a cherry tree to take away and plant at home.

Stylish and sustainable

Two of the three BYD ATTO 3 model variants, Comfort and Design, are available to order in the Stratstone BYD Milton Keynes showroom, with cars available to drive away same-day – which is already an advantage over other manufacturers, who currently have long waiting lists.

“The ATTO 3 is an absolutely perfect family car for those looking to switch to electric,” explains Rob. “With safety a priority, BYD’s ATTO 3 has scored Five Star Rating in Euro NCAP Safety Tests. The BYD ATTO 3 is also the first C-SUV to utilise the ground breaking ePlatform 3.0 bringing the latest in EV innovation to UK customers. It's all equipped with the highly efficient 60.48 kWh BYD Blade Battery with a 260 mile range (WLTP combined) and DC Charging (30-80%) in under 30 minutes”

Zero emissions

BYD is dedicated to providing zero emission energy solutions that reduce global reliance on fossil fuels. Its new energy vehicle footprint now covers 6 continents, over 70 countries and regions, and more than 400 cities. As of April 19, 2022, BYD saved 10,756,330,036kg of carbon emissions, equivalent to planting about 896,360,836 trees.

During the Earth Month activation, shoppers will be able to get a sneak preview of the ATTO 3 and its incredible features.

“The electric capabilities of the ATTO 3 really are incredible,” added Rob. “We’re confident that nobody will have seen an electric SUV like it before.”
