Ceramic event hoping to be a smash hit!

An artist will open her ceramics studio to visitors on Saturday as part of the Bucks Open Studios event.

Diana Tonnison is participating in Bucks Open Studios and the MK Art Trail to support Willen Hospice.

Visitors are encouraged to ‘have a go’ at glazing a ceramic fish or duck and watch it being fired during an outdoor Raku firing (a Japanese technique) demonstration.

Once it has cooled visitors – including children – can scrub it up and take it home.

As well as admiring the ceramics and paintings, little ones will enjoy seeing some baby ducks and refreshments will be available in the form of tasty cupcakes.

The event is free to attend and begins at 10am, with the activities continuing until 5pm, at 6 Weavers End, Hanslope, MK19 7PA.

Diana’s studio is part of the MK Art Trail, which continues until 23 June, and is open 12 midday until 5pm on Thursdays and Friday and 10am until 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
