Enjoy a little birdy in Cleo’s back garden

A stellar weekend of Music in the Garden entertainment begins on Friday evening, with an appearance by Bremner & Bird.

With their unavoidable absence of their much-missed colleague John Fortune, John and Rory will be entertaining and reminiscing in equal measure.

It comes with a warning too, ‘may contain anecdotes.’

Live music will accompany the show, courtesy of the James Pearson Trio.

Join the party at 5pm.

> Gerald Dickens – the charismatic great great grandson of Dickens himself – will be live in the garden on Saturday afternoon, performing Doctor Marigold.

The show is among the lesser known of his pieces today, but was a hugely popular part of Dickens’ performance tours of the 1860s.

It’s funny, tragic, heartbreaking, uplifting and life affirming.

Can you afford to miss it?

On Sunday, from 2.30pm, The London Jazz Orchestra take over with Windmill Tilter, work originally recorded in 1968, by the John Dankworth Orchestra.

The Independent declares them ‘as fine a band as you can find anywhere.’

TIckets for all shows can be booked on that usual box office number: 01908 280800.
